I'm sad to hear about Sammy.  He had a quick smile and a good sense of humor. My condolences to his family and friends.

Sammy and I were good friends.  Had a blast passing notes in 9th grade intro to business class.  I was in heaven when he invited me to our 9th grade dance.  Good memories.  I was very saddened when I heard he had passed.  Rest in Peace Sammy.

NO Ghosts in My Heaven

?There will be no Ghosts in my Heaven. No echoes of the life I’ve left

behind. Time, space and occasion will all be forgotten, like a watch left on a

bedside table during a vacation. Of insufficient value to venture back to reclaim.

There will be no yearnings for those I have known and the times we shared, no

reflection on the outcome of our trials. Like a theatre go’er after a play, I will not

ponder the actions of the characters, wondering what they are doing now. Their

time is done and their final curtain dropped, my interest in that world confiscated

in the twilight at the border, my passage over, my wandering complete.

?Comforted by my proximity to GOD. Enjoying both the warmth of his love

and the cool breeze of his presence. All that I have ever known will wane as his

glory fills my soul. Gone will be the distractions of sin and the burden it carries.

Lost will be the myopic vision of my past replaced with panoramic vistas devoid of

the perspective of time. The life I have known being a brief interruption in eternity.

?In a place without time I will exist in the now. Sensation will be replaced

by awareness, anxiety by love and persona by identity. Like a journey upon a

parabolic curve I will spend eternity always growing closer to GOD each step

bringing nearer to him and the sanctuary of his love.
