ALBANY – Maureen “Moe” E. Verch, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Niskayuna, she was the daughter of the

late Charles F. and Elsie (Volkmann) Verch.

Maureen graduated from Guilderland Central High School. She worked for New York State Workers Compensation Board as a Workers Compensation Examiner.

She is survived by her sisters, Lynn Frangella (Donald) of Schenectady, Sharon Verch of Guilderland, and Charlene Barnes (Byron) of Sharon, CT; nephew Dennis Tyson (Meghan) and great-niece Brynn Tyson, of Guilderland, along with best friend Linda Gipp of Guilderland.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 3:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in Moe’s name.
